Known Issue: Turnitin Submissions created in Word for Windows may not generate Similarity Reports

Microsoft files generated using Windows, including .doc, .docx, .xls, .xlsx, .pptx, .ppt, .ppsx, and .pps files, can occasionally fail to process when uploaded to Turnitin. Files created using other operating systems are unaffected. Workaround: Convert your file to a PDF before attempting to upload to Turnitin. For best results, use Adobe Acrobat to convert.


Known Issue: Blackboard Learn equation rendering

Update 7/19/22: This issue is ongoing and affects tests being given through Respondus Lockdown Browser. Respondus Lockdown Browser displays content nearly identical to Google Chrome. While this issue is being resolved, tests with math equations should not require Respondus Lockdown Browser. Known Issue: Turnitin Max Points must be greater than zero

Turnitin assignments must have at least one point assigned for Max Points during set up. 0/0, or any score out of 0 points, will continue to display as Needs Grading in the Blackboard grade center. Other errors may occur when the Turnitin assignment grade appears in the Blackboard grade center, including inaccurate scores.


Known Issue: Blackboard invalid grade error message

Instructors submitting final grades by importing grades from Blackboard may receive the error message “You have selected an invalid grade. Please contact the registrar.” If this error message is encountered, try this possible workaround: Change any F, W, or I grades to “none” by utilizing the dropdown menus next to those students. The LastPass browser extension may incorrectly autofill fields and generate passwords when editing Test Options in Blackboard Learn.
