Collaborate will be unavailable Thursday, July 26 from 1:00 a.m. – 5:00 a.m. for emergency infrastructure maintenance.

Blackboard Collaborate will be unavailable Saturday, August 4, 2018 from 11:00 p.m. to Sunday, August 5, 2018 at 9:00 a.m. for database infrastructure maintenance.
Blackboard Collaborate will be unavailable Wednesday, August 1, 2018 from 3:00 AM to Wednesday, August 1, 2018 at 5:00 AM. All Mac users will need to download the new Mac launcher 1.5.0.
Box will be performing an update to the Box Drive for Windows application beginning June 19. Box Drive users should accept the Box Drive upgrade when prompted to do so. Previous versions may stop working by June 26, so please accept the update when you receive notification that it is available. Contact the IT Service Desk with any questions 205-348-5555.
Turnitin will be unavailable between 9am – 5pm on July 10th. During this time Turnitin will be upgrading their hardware and implementing performance and stability improvements.
TurningPoint will be performing maintenance on their servers beginning at 9 am on Saturday, June 16, that may cause intermittent outages throughout the day. During any outages, access to both your TurningPoint account and TurningPoint mobile responding will be unavailable. Students will be notified that an update to the TurningPoint app is required upon opening their app following this release.
UA’s Blackboard system has returned.
We have just received notification that UA’s Blackboard system is down. We are engaging Blackboard Support about this issue.
Blackboard will generate an error if a file with an apostrophe in its filename is uploaded. The fix is to avoid using apostrophes in filenames.
There is a known issue that Collaborate users are unable to upload PowerPoint files in Collaborate on Mac OS High Sierra. More information can be found in this Blackboard article.
