Blackboard engineers will be performing maintenance on the data center that hosts UA’s instance of Blackboard Collaborate between 4-5 a.m. CDT March 20. The Collaborate system will be unavailable during this time.
Some users may have experienced a problem accessing or submitting to Turnitin today between 12:09 – 1:09 pm.
Turnitin will be unavailable on March 17th, 2018 between 10am and 4pm for maintenance related to hardware updates and performance improvements.
The Turnitin system experienced slowness and brief periods of unavailability from 11: 50 AM until 1:30 PM on Friday, February 16.
Inline grading in Blackboard via Box View does not allow for commenting on Excel files at this time.
Blackboard was unavailable from 8:47 am until 8:50 am on Saturday, January 20th due to system maintenance.
The Box View inline grading tool was not available from 12:45 PM-3:00 PM on Jan. 10.
Students and instructors may see a Download message saying “This file is being converted. The estimated wait time is __ seconds”, but the file does not show in the assignment window in the estimated time. The current work around is to refresh the browser so that the assignment will appear in the window. Blackboard support is working on this issue.
Some instructors see an “Access Denied” error message when setting up the OIRA Syllabus Link tool in a Blackboard course. The workaround is to click “OK” on the error page, then click “Cancel” when the OIRA Syllabus Link tool reappears. The link will be created at this point. This is most likely to happen for courses copied from courses in a previous semester that used the OIRA Syllabus Link.
All currently enrolled students are required to use DUO for authentication into myBama. DUO is supported by the IT Service Desk.
