Known Issue – Respondus Lockdown Browser error on Mac

Students may encounter an error on a Mac computer regarding the “SSInvitationAgent”. The error message prompts users to go into their Sharing settings to uncheck boxes. Known Issue: Turnitin Submissions created in Word for Windows may not generate Similarity Reports

Microsoft files generated using Windows, including .doc, .docx, .xls, .xlsx, .pptx, .ppt, .ppsx, and .pps files, can occasionally fail to process when uploaded to Turnitin. Files created using other operating systems are unaffected. Workaround: Convert your file to a PDF before attempting to upload to Turnitin. For best results, use Adobe Acrobat to convert.


Known Issue: Blackboard Learn equation rendering

Update 7/19/22: This issue is ongoing and affects tests being given through Respondus Lockdown Browser. Respondus Lockdown Browser displays content nearly identical to Google Chrome. Known Issue: Turnitin Max Points must be greater than zero

Turnitin assignments must have at least one point assigned for Max Points during set up. 0/0, or any score out of 0 points, will continue to display as Needs Grading in the Blackboard grade center. Other errors may occur when the Turnitin assignment grade appears in the Blackboard grade center, including inaccurate scores.
