03/17/2026: Blackboard Support is still working on a resolution. We will update this post with any new information.

Issue

Students and instructors may see an error message in the place of course content in their courses. The error message states, “Your institution turned off alternate domains. This content is no longer visible but no data was lost. Please contact your administrator for more information. When the alternate domain is re-enabled, your custom HTML block content will return.”

Support

CIT and UA Online tech support are aware of the issue and are in contact with Blackboard Support. They are investigating this issue and working on a resolution.
