On Friday, June 14, 2019, between the hours of 1:00 a.m. – 5:00 a.m. CDT, Blackboard, Inc. will be performing service impacting maintenance at the data center that hosts UA’s Blackboard Learn instance. Blackboard Learn will be unavailable during this maintenance window. Blackboard Collaborate users may experience periods of intermittent inactivity during this maintenance window.

Sat., Jun 1, 6 a.m. – 8 a.m. OIT will be doing an update to myBama. Blackboard Learn users will need to log into Blackboard via the direct URL, ualearn.blackboard.com, during this update window.

Users logging in to the upgraded Blackboard Learn system for the first time may be asked to agree to Privacy Terms and Conditions via a click-through announcement. Blackboard Learn will be unavailable due to a scheduled upgrade beginning Wednesday, May 8 at 8:00 p.m. until Friday, May 10 at 12:00 p.m.

Blackboard, Inc. has discontinued the Blackboard Grader mobile app effective March 29, 2019. The app has been removed from app stores and support has ceased. Users with instructor roles should download Blackboard Instructor as a replacement.

Tegrity engineers will be performing maintenance on their servers on March 31 from 12:00 a.m. to 7 a.m. CDT. There will be a 3-hour downtime window from 12:00 a.m to 3 a.m. CDT.

Blackboard Learn users should avoid lengthy filenames for content they upload to Blackboard. Keep filenames to under 64 characters to avoid these errors.

The issue with people.ua.edu has been resolved and users should contact our office if they experience issues.
