Issue
Blackboard tests that require Respondus Lockdown Browser and are copied from Original to Ultra may have sporadic issues with access. Issues with accessing the test may be due to a settings error in the Ultra test. In the Ultra test settings, the access code needs to be turned off, but it toggles on.
Workarounds
Option 1: Recreate the test in Ultra. Create a new test in Ultra and recreate all questions.
Option 2: Monitor the Access Code test setting. If students report any issues with accessing the test, ensure that the Access Code is turned off in the test’s settings. If the Access Code is off, and students report an issue with the test, contact CIT for more troubleshooting.
To find the Access Code setting:
- Click on the title of the test.
- In the Assessment Settings section, look for Access Code.
- If present, click on the Access code required link. The Access Code setting will appear in a pop-out tray.
- Select the toggle to turn off the Access Code.
- Click the Continue button.
- Click Continue in the pop-up prompt that appears to confirm turning off the access code.
- Click the Save button to save the settings.
