Blackboard, Inc. has end-of-lifed its Blackboard Instant Messenger application effective December 31, 2018. Although there is not an exact replacement for Blackboard IM, Zoom is a tool that may be of interest to you. You can find more information on Zoom at https://oit.ua.edu/software/zoom/.
On Friday, Feb. 1 between 1 a.m. and 5 a.m. CST, Blackboard will be conducting maintenance on the data center that hosts Blackboard Collaborate. Users should be aware that intermittent connectivity is possible during this infrastructure maintenance window.
TurningPoint will be performing scheduled maintenance on all TurningPoint servers starting on Saturday, Dec. 29 at 10 p.m. and continuing until Dec. 30 at 1 a.m. CST. While this is happening, TurningPoint will be down and you will not be able to run a session or access your account.
Tegrity will undergo scheduled maintenance on Sunday, December 30th between 3am and 10am. Tegrity service may be unavailable during this time.
On January 5th, 2019 Turnitin will be unavailable from 10am to 6pm. During this time, Turnitin will be upgrading hardware and implementing software updates intended to improve performance.
Turnitin experienced a service disruption that affected all of their customers. The problem began at 9:15am CT and was resolved at 11:05am.
The 2019 Faculty Technology Showcase will be held on Friday, February 22nd in room A232 Gordon Palmer Hall. The call for nominations is now open!
The goal of the Faculty Technology Showcase is to provide an opportunity for our community to share with one another how technology is being used across campus. Please nominate your colleagues who incorporate technology in both innovative and practical ways that enhance teaching and learning, assist with research, and/or increase professional productivity. You are welcome to nominate yourself as well.
Presentations will be in the form of electronic poster sessions that will last approximately 50 minutes each.
There are two ways to submit the names and email addresses for those you would like to nominate. You can complete this brief Qualtrics survey. Please submit nominations by Wednesday, November 28, 2018.
Maintenance is scheduled to take place on Sunday, November 11, 2018, between midnight-2am CST. Access to Tegrity services will not be available during this time
There was a disruption to the Tegrity service between the hours of 8:45 and 10:45 PM CST. During this time, users were unable to access their Tegrity instance and would receive an error when uploading recordings.
Service was restored around 10:45 PM CST.
