Overview
The Blackboard Ultra Café is a day of snacks, coffee, and course building. Blackboard experts offer guidance in an in-person interactive workshop and an in-person open workspace. Faculty will use the information obtained from the Ultra Basics or the Ultra Demo workshop to build a course using the Practice course given to all instructors.

Every Ultra Café Day has two parts. Part 1 & Part 2 are offered in the Morning Café and the Afternoon Café in separate rooms. If you aren’t able to attend both on the same day, feel free to register for one on another date.
Morning Café: 9:00 AM – 11:00 AM
Afternoon Café: 1:00 PM – 3:00 PM
Part 1 and Part 2 are available during the Morning Café and the Afternoon Café.
PART 1: Interactive Workshop
Come prepared to learn the skills to leave Blackboard Original behind and create your upcoming courses in Ultra!
In this interactive workshop, instructors will create a Learning Module, Folder, Document, Link, Test, Assignment, Discussion, and Journal. We will also add a course image, try out the student preview option, discuss test exceptions and more!
- Bring your own laptop.

PART 2: Open Workspace
It’s time to create a real course! Our team will be on hand to guide and answer any questions you have.
In this 2-hour open workspace you can put all of your Ultra knowledge into action and build your courses in Blackboard Ultra. Fine-tune your course content or start from scratch while our team will be on hand to answer any questions.
